Job details
Following successful performance in the 2014 REF, Keele University is working towards delivery of an ambitious research strategy. To underpin this, the University has created a unified research support infrastructure to provide expert advice and assistance to academics and clinicians. A number of professional teams covering research and partnership
development, operations, funding and project assurance work collaboratively to support the academic community in building the University's research portfolio and ensure projects are delivered successfully.
We are now seeking a Research Funding Coordinator to join the University Research Funding team. The role holder will support the Head of Research Grants & Systems by leading the Research Funding Team based in the Faculty of Medicine & Health Sciences. They will be responsible for ensuring that research funding operates effectively and efficiently, and will act as a key point of contact for financial matters on projects from proposal to contract stage.
The successful candidate will have previous experience of working in a research or finance administration role within the HE sector, and of costing research proposals and/or financial management of projects at the post award stage. An understanding of the external research funding environment, including relevant funding requirements and government legislation is also required.
