This post represents an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to join a team of staff in Keele University's School of Life Sciences within the Faculty of Natural Sciences. You will join the growing and highly successful School, which has a strong commitment to, and nationally leading reputation in, delivering high quality research and educational
programmes.
Applications are welcomed from technicians or those working in a related area within any aspect of the biological sciences discipline and who have experience of using a range of scientific instrumentation, laboratory and analytical equipment and providing related IT support. Experience of demonstrating techniques in a laboratory environment is desirable.
You will be qualified to HNC level/NVQ 4 (or equivalent) in a science subject or have equivalent professional experience.
You will be expected to provide a high level of technical support in the delivery of practical classes in the School's undergraduate courses with an emphasis on Neuroscience but also including Biochemistry and Biomedical Science Biology and Human Biology). In addition you will be required to provide technical support in the School's research activity.
Please note this appointment is subject to medical clearance by the University's Occupational Health provider.
