Smart Energy Network Demonstrator (SEND) ERDF Programme Delivery Manager
Job details
This post represents an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to join a team of staff in Keele University's Faculty of Natural Sciences and play a key role in the establishment of a new initiative: The Smart Energy Network Demonstrator (SEND). Keele University has secured GBP 15 million of investment for the project which will allow the University
campus to become the largest single integrated electricity, gas and heat smart energy network demonstrator in Europe.
SEND will be the first facility in Europe for at-scale living laboratory research, development and demonstration of new smart energy technologies and services across all energy vectors, in partnership with business and industry. The investment will support businesses to carry our new product and service development, underpinned by collaborative research development and innovation funding and will help develop new business supply chains for smart energy products and services.
The post holder will be responsible for ERDF programme delivery and external interactions as well as day to day running of the SEND project, working with colleagues from across a number of University directorates, schools and external organisations to ensure the project delivers against all agreed ERDF outputs and milestones.
You will be educated to degree level or equivalent. You will have previous experience of successfully managing multi-partner projects involving external agencies and multiple sources of external funding to deliver economic impact. You will also have experience of data management.
This post and the SEND are part-funded through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) as part of the England 2014 to 2020 European Structural and Investment Funds (ESIF) Growth Programme and the UK Government.
For an informal discussion about the role, please contact Dr Ian Madley, Head of Partnership Development (Natural Sciences) on i.c.madley@keele.ac.uk or 01782 734465.
Keele University values diversity, and is committed to ensuring equality of opportunity, and to proper and fair representation across its senior decision making groups. In support of these commitments, the University particularly welcomes expressions of interest and applications from women and from individuals of black and ethnic minority backgrounds, for this post.
Keele University is committed to the principles of the Athena SWAN charter, and values equality and diversity across our workforce. We strive to ensure that our workforce is representative of broader society, and therefore, we would actively welcome applications from women for this role.
