Lecturer in Biomedical Sciences
Job details
This post represents an exciting opportunity for an individual to join a team of staff in the School of Life Sciences. We are looking to appoint a research-active Lecturer in Biomedical Science to contribute to Biomedical Science research and teaching. You will have a Ph.D. and will be expected to have shown significant achievement in research in the broad
area of biosciences. You will be expected to develop an internationally competitive research profile over time. Whilst not excluding any particular research area, as an ideal candidate you would be expected to complement one or more of the existing research activities within the School of Life Sciences, particularly in the areas of vectors and infection, neuroscience, and molecular and structural biosciences.
Applications are therefore welcomed from individuals committed to high-quality research and teaching with a good track record of achievement. It is our expectation that you will qualify for inclusion in future Research Excellence Framework submissions in the UK. You will be able to incorporate your knowledge and experience of the discipline into exciting learning experiences for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
The School is proud to hold a Silver Athena SWAN award and also actively engages with the Race Equality Charter initiative. We are therefore keen to encourage women and individuals from ethnic minority backgrounds to apply for this role.
Keele University values equality and diversity across our workforce and to ensuring our staff community is reflective of the diversity of our student population. In support of these commitments the University welcomes applications from individuals of Black, Asian and ethnic minority backgrounds for all roles.
For informal enquiries please contact Prof. Dave Hoole, Head of School of Life Sciences, Tel: 01782 733673; Email: d.hoole@keele.ac.uk
