Development Officer (Engagement, Partnerships and Impact)
Job details
Following successful performance in the 2014 Research Excellence Framework, Keele is embarking on an ambitious research strategy capable of delivering impact at local, national and international levels.
To underpin this, the University has created a unified research support infrastructure to provide expert advice and assistance to academics. A number
of professional teams covering research and partnership development, operations, funding and project assurance work collaboratively to support the academic community in building the University's research portfolio and ensuring projects are delivered successfully.
This post represents the exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to play a key role in a specialist partnership development team operating across the University, and an integrated Humanities and Social Science research hub. The purpose of the role is to provide support for research quality and impact, enhancing Keele's increasing role as an economic, social and cultural anchor through the development of high value external partnerships and networks, along with a flourishing environment for research impact.
We are seeking a strong team player with experience of supporting research, impact or partnership development, and the skills to work effectively with academics and external partners to deliver institutional and Faculty objectives. This opportunity comes at an exciting time for this area of research as the post-holder will be involved in the early development of Keele's Institute for Social Inclusion, which launches in 2018.
For an informal discussion, please contact Ann Pittard, Head of Partnership Development, Humanities and Social Sciences, a.pittard@keele.ac.uk, or Mike Hession, Research Development Manager, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. j.m.j.hession@keele.ac.uk
For internal applicants, secondments on a fixed-term basis may be considered. Please contact Ann Pittard or Mike Hession to discuss further. Please note, secondments require authorisation from your line manager. It is therefore advisable that you discuss your application with your manager before submitting it.
