This post represents an exciting opportunity for an individual to continue to develop their research in a buoyant and expanding School of Life Sciences. We are looking to appoint a research-active person with expertise in infectious diseases, particularly vector borne pathogens.
You will have a Ph.D. and expertise in the biology of infectious diseases
which compliments the research profile of the School of Life Sciences in insect vectors/entomology and infectious pathogens including virus, bacteria and parasitic organisms. You will develop your international research profile by developing in time a world leading research group within the School. You would be expected to complement existing research activities in the School and the wider University.
Applications are therefore welcomed from individuals committed to high-quality research and teaching with a good track record of achievement. It is our expectation that you will qualify for inclusion in future Research Excellence Framework submissions in the UK. Y
You will be able to incorporate your knowledge and experience of the discipline into exciting learning experiences for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
